Mesotherapy is a technique that uses injections of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten skin, as well as remove excess fat.

Today, mesotherapy is used to:

  • Remove fat in areas like the stomach, thighs, buttocks, hips, legs, arms, and face
  • Reduce cellulite
  • Fade wrinkles and lines
  • Tighten loose skin
  • Recontour the body
  • Lighten pigmented skin
  • Treat alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss

The technique uses very fine needles to deliver a series of injections into the middle layer (mesoderm) of skin. The idea behind mesotherapy is that it corrects underlying issues like poor circulation and inflammation that cause skin damage.

There isn’t a standard formula for the substances injected in mesotherapy. Doctors use many different solutions, including:

  • Prescription medicines like vasodilators and antibiotics
  • Hormones such as calcitonin and thyroxin
  • Enzymes like collagenase and hyaluronidase
  • Herbal extracts
  • Vitamins and minerals

How does mesotherapy work?
The principle behind mesotherapy is allowing substances to penetrate deep into the skin to reach the areas that creams cannot. Rather than using injections, a weak electric current / micro-needling helps guide chemicals like hyaluronic acid and vitamin solutions deep into the skin by opening up tiny channels.

Is mesotherapy good for pigmentation?
Mesotherapy improves collagen and visibly reduces the signs of aging. It speeds up the repair of the skin to give it a more youthful appearance. Mesotherapy is effective in reducing wrinkles, pigmentation problems, and reversing the effects of sun damage and aged skin.

Does mesotherapy tighten the skin?
Mesotherapy is a technique that uses injections of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten skin, as well as remove excess fat. Tighten loose skin, recontour the body, lighten pigmented skin.

How long do mesotherapy results last?
12-18 months, for optimum results, we recommend a course of 4-6 treatments of Mesotherapy. Once you complete the recommended course, the results can last from 12-18 months.

Does mesotherapy hurt?
It is not pain-free but really not uncomfortable either. Patients come for 30 minutes before the treatment and have aesthetic cream and red light applied to reduce pain and improve the treatment results.

Mesotherapy Aftercare:
Do not wash or take a shower for at least 8 hours after mesotherapy treatment. Do not take hot baths for 48 hours after treatment. After the 48 hour period, for the first week baths are allowed but are limited to 15 minutes (which will assist with any bruising that may have occurred).
1- Avoid exercising for 48 hours after treatment.
2- Exercise will cause you to sweat and excrete the solution out the pores of the skin, which will decrease the effectiveness of the treatment.
3- Drink at least 64 ounces /2 liters of water the day of treatment and continue this intake of water for up to one week.
4- Sun exposure must be avoided for 48 hours after the treatment and until bruising subsides. If necessary to go into the sun, use SPF 30 or greater at all times.
5- Allergic reactions can occur in the form of small lumps the size of a quarter. Should you notice redness and or small lumps at the injection site, call your physician to determine how to treat the area. Note: most reactions remain localized in the area of injection.
