MELANOFREE DEPIGMENTATION MAINTENANCE CREAM

Maintenance cream is formulated to maintain the efficacy of the MelanoFree whitening mask. It has to be used after 3 days from the first MelanoFree whitening treatment.

What should be the time gap between the two applications of depigmenting cream?

You should not apply other treatments to your skin at the same time as the depigmenting cream. The time gap between the two applications of depigmenting cream should be 8 hours. If you need to use other products on the skin, please wait at least one hour after you have applied the depigmenting cream.

What is the application method?

An effective lightening cream must go hand in hand with the application of a sun protection factor minimum SPF 15. While the depigmenting cream is applied in the evening and works during the night, a sun protection factor must imperatively be used during the day, to protect and prevent over-stimulation of the melanocytes from UV radiation.

What is depigmenting cream ?

Depigmenting creams are used to treat areas of skin that are hyperpigmented (darkly coloured). They may contain a combination of different medicines including:

Hydroquinone or mono benzyl ether of hydroquinone – these stop melanocytes (pigmenting cells) in your skin from making melanin. Melanin is the substance that causes pigmentation (natural coloring)of your skin.

  • Retinoids (including tretinoin and retinoic acid) – increase the turnover of new skin cells and help the hydroquinone to penetrate the skin.
  • Corticosteroids (such as hydrocortisone) – prevent and reduce inflammation of the skin.
How long does it take for depigmentation to go away?

It can take 24 months for pH to fully fade, although in some cases it may take longer. The length of time it takes for pH to fade depends on how dark the spot is compared to the surrounding skin. The bigger the contrast between the muscles and your natural skin tone, the longer it will take to fade.
